I've been in the model horse hobby since 1974. My first clinky horses were a box of Japans from a friend out of her Aunt's collection when I moved to OH from IN in 1971. Once in the hobby, I discovered Beswicks and that was my focus for many years. A hobby friend in the area collected Hagens so if we were at auctions together, she got the HRs and I got the Beswicks. Once the San Marcos years started, I did start collecting a few new HRs. My collecting never took off until I had to sell my real horses but then was put on hold when I lost my factory job and went back to school. Once I had my new career (and spending money), the collection exploded.
I think Tom B introduced me to Pour Horse and I was lucky enough to buy most of them new. I also collect Animal Artistry, Japan chinas, Hagen Renaker mini animals and Cheval. Now that I'm ready to retire, I look at this huge collection and think, 'What on earth was I thinking?'. That is until Tiffany Tran tempts me with a new Beswick...oh well, what is one more little foal?
Beautiful Beswick Butts!

Hi Lois! I've always thought your collection was awesome. Great to have you on board and looking forward to your contributions! And I'm always happy when I can rehome a Bessie with you.
