For those unfamiliar with ProBoards, adding photos to posts is not an intuitive process. So here are step-by-step instructions to guide you.
1. FOR MEMBERS WITH REMOTE PHOTO HOSTING ACCOUNTS:
You can post photos in your thread or reply post by choosing "insert image", and linking a photo from your remote photo host site, such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc.
2. TO UPLOAD PHOTOS FROM YOUR COMPUTER OR MOBILE DEVICE
NOTE: For Mobile Phone uploads, you will have to scroll to the bottom of the TCS homepage and click on the "Desktop" view button at the bottom right hand corner. That will allow you to upload images directly from your phone using the Add Attachment tool. However, uploads can only be less than 1 MB per post. I understand that most Smartphone cameras take photos larger than 1 MB, and I apologize for the inconvenience of this limitation.
UPDATE 12/17/18: However, you can resize images on your phone by emailing them to yourself using your email app and selecting the option to email the photos at a smaller size than the actual size. Alternatively, you can use your phone’s photo app to reize images (just keep in mind that the resized version will save over the original, so you may want to make a duplicate copy for resizing).
1. Create a thread or reply to an existing thread.
2. When the Create Thread/Reply window opens, click on the "Add Attachment" button in the upper right hand corner, and an "Add Attachment" pop up window will open.
4. Click on the button that says "+ Add files". This will allow you to upload up to three photos per post from your computer.
5. Once you have selected the photos you want to upload and added them to the list, click the "Insert" button. This will insert the corresponding image code into the body of your thread/post.
6. Click on the "Done" button to close the "Add Attachment" window.
7. You can now add text and move the photos around as necessary. You can preview how the post will look by using the "Preview" button in the lower right hand corner of the Create Thread/Reply window.
8. Click on the "Create Thread"/"Reply" button in the lower right hand corner to publish your post. Please note that your photos will appear in the body of your post as thumbnails that can be clicked on to display full size.
I hope this is helpful, and as always, please let me know if you have any problems or questions and I will endeavor to resolve the issue.
Your humble admin.
